League Of Women Voters Holds Candidate Forum In Richland Wednesday Night

RICHLAND, Wash. - A political forum was held Wednesday night where candidates had a chance to answer questions.  

The event was hosted by the League of Women Voters.

The following politicians were there:

(R) Rob Welch and (R) Larry Haler for the state representative 8th District Position 2.

(D) Carol Moser and (R) Brad Kippert running for a legislative position in the 8th District.

(R) Fred Staples and (R) Leo Bowman are in the running for Commissioner in District One.

(R) Claude Oliver and (R) James Beaver are in the running for Commissioner in District three.

The candidates answered questions about the law enforcement sales tax, potential Hanford projects and gave their top three priorities for the up coming year.

The next forum is scheduled for October 15 at Columbia Basin College inside the theater.

About 60 people filled the auditorium at Chief Joseph Middle School in Richland on Wednesday night.
