BENTON CITY, Wash.-- Many candidates from our region faced off in Benton City on Thursday night.
The Benton City Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Council, put together a candidate forum at Ki-Be Middle School.
Voters heard from candidates for State Legislature, County Commissioner, PUD Commissioner, and Superior Court Judge.
Each candidate had three minutes for opening statements. Followed by a round of questions.
The candidates talked about many different issues affecting our state.
"Do I believe we have a bit of a climate change, we do, but all this green garbage our current governor is trying to shove down your throat is just that ladies and gentlemen," said Brad Klippert, Republican Candidate for WA House of Representatives, Position 1, 8th District.
"When you try to attach a carbon tax to emissions, we're going the wrong road, and we're creating funding down a road we shouldn't be creating funding from," said Carol Moser, Democratic Candidate for WA House of Representatives, Position 1, 8th District.
Close to 50 people attended the forum on Thursday night.
