Around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, a car was heading southbound near North 14th Avenue and West Irving Street.
Several kids wearing dark clothing were on the side of the road waiting to cross.
The driver saw the kids and slowed down.
Witnesses say the young boy ran across the street and stopped halfway.
He was taken to Lourdes Medical Center as a precaution.
Pasco police officers recommend wearing reflective clothing at night.
