Nov 15th - Charity Benefit For A Better Education

My Son Joshua Fisher is 11 years old and was born with a Developmental Disability. His arms didn't fully develop in utero. He doesn't have an ulna or elbow joint in either arm with 90 degrees or less extension capability. Josh's right hand consists of a thumb and pointer finger with little palm. His left hand is two fingers fused together with little palm. Joshua is a very high spirited young man with a bright future. He has been adapting very well, we have found that he struggles most with keeping up with the pace in school. Joshua can write and is capable to do so, the stamina most have is cut into 1/3 of what Josh can do at one time. Joshua starts to cramp up and gets excruciatingly sore after 20 minutes of writing and has to stop and take a break. This causes him to get behind and makes catching up seem beyond his reach. The use of a laptop and special programs for use at school and at home to keep up with his studies would relieve some of that extra pressure ha has had to circum.  Joshua takes charge and figures things out. This kid deserves a chance and with this Charity Benefit of a spaghetti feed and silent auction/auction we are hoping that we can raise enough money to get him the equipment he needs. We are still in the need of items for the silent auction; those who would like to donate can reach Brandy Halverson at 509-457-2494 or Pam Kuntz 509-865-2229. For monetary donations Central Valley Bank has an account for Joshua/Josh Fisher.
This event will be held on November 15th at 4:00 PM and will take place at The Eagles #2229, 515 S. Division Street, Toppenish WA 98948.
