"Cut 4 a Cause" at Yakima's Professional Beauty School
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Students at the Professional Beauty School were cutting hair for a good cause on Tuesday.
All of the proceeds raised from haircuts went to the Wellness House, a non-profit Yakima organization that provides free services to people going through a life-threatening illness. In addition to their donation, students also wash and style wigs used by patients at the Wellness House.
"We survive simply on donations and fund raisers such as this, so this means the world to us", says Margaret Filkins, Director of Development at the Wellness House.
The beauty school will be donating their proceeds again on October 28th.
