Students from Kamiakin and Southridge high schools have chosen the Tri-Cities Cancer Center as the beneficiary of "Pink Week" fundraising activities in a shared goal to raise awareness about cancer.  Through the week of October 18th- 24th , students will be participating in a variety of "pink themed" fundraising and spirit events.  The week will culminate with the Kamiakin vs. Southridge football game on Friday October 24th including a symbolic check presentation to the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation for the estimated amount of combined funds raised.

The football players would like to play in honor of a local cancer survivor or patient.  The Tri-Cities Cancer Center is calling for cancer survivors and/or patients who would like to participate in this event.  Please contact the Public Relations department at 509-737-3435 or email or visit and click on the "Join Our Survivor Network" link.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month which the students have used as inspiration for their Pink Week events.  However, the focus of the fundraising efforts is to raise awareness for all types of cancer.  Funds raised by both groups will be donated to the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation, will stay locally in our community general cancer awareness programs and patient support services.
