YAKIMA--First Presbyterian Church in Yakima held its annual family clothing exchange today. Organizers say this was the largest exchange yet, with close to a thousand people stopping by to donate or pick up clothes.
People at the exchange say it's a great way to update your wardrobe."
There are a lot of people who come from different walks of life and maybe they can't afford the nice clothes," Martin Vasquez said. "They come to a place like this and there's freedom in it."
"It's a good way for people to meet each other and exchange clothes and just try new things," Jordan Miller said.
First Presbyterian still had piles of clothes left over at the end of today's event. Those clothes are donated to the Union Gospel Mission for the homeless.
