Pink Week at Southridge and Kamiakin

Posted: Updated:
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Normally blue and gold, Southridge is making pink their color of choice this week. Pink is everwhere at the school, and over at Kamiakin High as well.

The Braves and Suns are combining forces and calling it Pink Week. They hope to raise $25,000 for breast cancer. They'll have pink equipment at sporting events all week.

Plus, on Wednesday, they'll have a human chain connecting the two schools together. If you want to be part of the human chain just show up at either school before 1pm. They need 3,000 people.

Tuesday night, the Braves and Suns face off with pink soccer balls.

Thursday, each school has a volleyball match.

Friday, the Suns and Braves play each other at Lampson Stadium in football. The players will wear the names of cancer survivors on their helmets.
