Tri-Cities Veterans to Have New Resource Center in November
PASCO, Wash.-- The Columbia Basin Veterans Coalition decided to stop pursuing the Daniel Wagenaar Army Reserve center in Pasco. Veterans in the Tri-Cities area are soon going to get a new resource center.
After years of battling over the Wagenaar Army Reserve Center, the coalition joined with eight other veteran's organizations to open the new center that will be at 1600 North 20th Avenue in Pasco.
The Captain of the Benefits and Disabilities team, Steve Prince, says the center will have everything from help finding jobs, clothes, mentoring, and more. Prince says, "What we're making is a one stop shop for our area veterans. We want to help our vets now. Sitting back waiting for political decisions for 2 years was not accomplishing what we wanted to do."
The veteran's resource center will open Friday November 14th. Prince says he looks forward to being able to better serve the men and woman who served our country.
