Halloween Shoppers Still Spending in the Tri-Cities, Despite Economy
KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Halloween is just a week away and many people are thinking about what they're going to dress up as. KNDU talked to employees at Halloween stores who say people aren't thinking so much about their wallets despite our country's financial crisis.
KNDU asked Shamia Ogren, manager at the temporary Let's Party Halloween Store, how the economy has affected Halloween sales, and she says, "It has not. Actually we've been a lot busier this year. It's hard to tell until after Halloween season, but our sales have been really well.
Ogren says she has heard a few parents trying to keep their family under budget, but a lot of people want to get their mind off the crisis and just have fun with Halloween.
