Yakima Gang Member Charged with First Degree Murder
YAKIMA, Wash.-- A Yakima gang member accused of gunning down a rival for shooting at his house is arraigned on a charge of first degree murder.
24-year-old Jeremyah Parras faces a murder charge in connection with the killing of 20-year-old Adan Tapia. Tapia was shot to death in Yakima last Friday.
Parras is also charged with first degree unlawful possession of a firearm in Tapia's death. Police say both the defendant and the victim have ties to the Norteno gang. Parras is being held in the Yakima County Jail on $1-million bail.
