YAKIMA, Wash.-- A Yakima gang member accused of gunning down a rival for shooting at his house is arraigned on a charge of first degree murder.

24-year-old Jeremyah Parras faces a murder charge in connection with the killing of 20-year-old Adan Tapia.  Tapia was shot to death in Yakima last Friday.

Parras is also charged with first degree unlawful possession of a firearm in Tapia's death.  Police say both the defendant and the victim have ties to the Norteno gang.  Parras is being held in the Yakima County Jail on $1-million bail.
