Motorcyclists Ride For Toys

Posted: Updated:

WEST RICHLAND, Wash-- More than 300 motorcyclists from the Tri-Cities rode for toys earlier Sunday. To participate each rider had to donate a toy.

They rode from West Richland to Kennewick. The toys will be donated to Operation Thank You, Park Middle School, and other local charities. The riders say they want to make sure every child in the Tri-Cities will get a present for Christmas this year.

"The riders in this community here are tremendous for doing stuff like this, they're always donating time and effort to the community," said Dave Stewart, motorcyclist.

Many of the riders tied the toys on the back of their motorcycles. Thousands of dollars worth of toys were donated. Several local charities rely on events like this especially this year with the downturn in the economy.
