Nov 1st - Wildlife Preservation Project

For the last three weeks the students of the woodshop at A.C.Davis High have been working on nesting boxes as a beginning wood shop project. It teaches them the beginning tools and equipment in the shop. The nesting boxes will be loaded on to a school bus to be transported to their final home in Bickelton, Washington, which is the blue bird capital of the world. This is the third time my class has has done this project. It is a wonderful community service and is enjoyed by all who participate. I have students who have graduated from school and come back to go with us. We will leave Davis on November first at 8:00 A.M and return by 4:30 the same day.

Davis High is located at 212 S 6th Ave in Yakima.
