YAKIMA, Wash.- The Moscow Ballet and Yakima dancers are preparing for the Sleeping Beauty performance Tuesday. This performance will be one night only at the Capitol Theatre. Over two-dozen girls from CoMotion Dance in Yakima have rehearsed for two months now to memorize all the moves.
We spoke to one dancer who's performed with the group before and is excited to be doing it again.
"This is the world premiere so it's a lot of pressure but it's great that we have the honor to be a part of it," said Rachel Roll, one of the performers.
The Yakima dancers will perform a three-minute long piece. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available at Ticket West or at the theatre. The next show at the Capitol Theatre will be The Nutcracker in early December.
