RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Barack Obama is accusing his Republican rival of taking the low road by labeling Obama a socialist. He says the next thing you know, John McCain will start accusing Obama of "being a secret communist" because Obama shared his toys in kindergarten. Obama also turned to ridicule to rebut McCain's daily references to "Joe the Plumber." Speaking today in North Carolina, Obama said that whether it's "Suzy the student, or Nancy the nurse, or Tina the teacher, or Carl the construction worker" they'll still be worse off four years from now if McCain wins. He finished with an appeal to "cut through the negative ads and the phony attacks." The Democrat's been campaigning in North Carolina today, and later heads to Florida.
