CPR and First Aid Training Online in the Tri-Cities
KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A new way to get CPR certified hits the Tri-Cities. All you need is a computer and the Internet.
Staff at the Benton-Franklin Red Cross showed us how it's done. They say the whole point of the online training is so people can learn at their own pace.
They can break down the sessions in parts, or learn it all at once. There's pictures, written information, and videos to help you learn.
After the online portion is done, everyone is required to go by the Red Cross to do a skill session.
"The benefits are that they do come in to the chapter and actually do their life saving skills here, so that we know that they do actually know how to do compressions and rescue breaths, and pad placement for the AEDs," said Megan Phillips, with the Benton Franklin Red Cross.
Each class is a different price. Staff at the Red Cross say they start at $30.
