There's More to Do Than Trick or TreatPosted: Updated:
"Not everybody's going to go out and go to their own party so we figured we'd have one here," said Eric Phillips, one of the owners of Sports Center.
This is why sports center is throwing a hell-themed Halloween party. And they're not the only ones. A few venues down, Plaza Socievole Winery is having a party too.
"We want to bring people downtown, we want to keep reminding them that there's a lot of exciting things happening," said Rita Jorgensen, one of the owners of Plaza Socievole Winery.
And exciting is the perfect word to explain Halloween. Both venues will have like music, food, and beer and wine.
"I don't know if we're going to be bobbing for apples or anything but we're going to be having a good time," said Phillips.
And what's a good time without great costumes on Halloween.
"Dress up scary, goofy, you can dress up as a woman if you're a man and its still okay," said Phillips.
Businesses owners say downtown is becoming more and more popular and Friday is their busiest night.
"More and more people downtown, walking up streets, bouncing around at different places, its pretty exciting to see the revitalization," said Jorgensen.
And today is expected to be one of the busiest nights of the year. And if you're planning on heading downtown don't forget you costumes because they'll be giving out prizes to the best dressed.
