YAKIMA--The White Pass Ski Patrol's annual Ski and Snowboard swap is this weekend. It is the patrol's largest fundraiser of the year.
Hundreds headed to the Central Washington State Fairgrounds to get ready for winter fun. Proceeds go to emergency supplies like toboggans, which can get pretty expensive.
"A single toboggan is upwards of $3,000 and then [we have to buy] all of our splints, bandages, all the first aid equipment," Ski Patrol Director Pete Ellis said. "So it adds up quickly."
Ski Patrol staff hope to raise around $7,000 this weekend.
They will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow.
