Dec 1st - Yakima Valley Library Seeks New Logo

Posted: Updated:

Yakima Valley Regional Library is now Yakima Valley Libraries and seeks a new logo to reflect the change in name.  YVL invites community members to create a logo for YVL, and submit it for consideration by December 1, 2008 at 5pm.

Your submission should be on black on a white background or if in color, be able to be reproduced in its entirety in black and white only.  Digital submissions must be in .jpg or .gif format at a high resolution, printed submissions must be 8 ½ by 11 inches in size.  A submission form available from the library website must accompany each submission.

Because the logo will be used in many different settings, the logo must be clearly legible in a variety of sizes.  The logo must include the name Yakima Valley Libraries or the abbreviation YVL, and include the words or convey the meaning of the statement, "Connecting People and Ideas".

Submissions must be received by December 1, 2008 at 5pm either by email, or mailing or delivering to one of the 19 community libraries that make up Yakima Valley Libraries.  All entries become the property of Yakima Valley Libraries.

Please visit YVL's website, for more information, or contact Linda Nixon, Logo Committee Chair at with questions.
