What Happens if Another Close Governor Race?

Posted: Updated:

WASHINGTON--  We all remember how close the last governor's race was.
If this year's results are similar, the office of the Secretary of State could order a mandatory re-count.

That will happen if the race is closer than one-half of one-percent or less than 2,000 votes.

2004's race came down to just over 100 votes, and was re-counted twice.  The state says the re-count would take several days.
