Rich Semler Comments On Race For Superintendent Of Public Instruction
RICHLAND, Wash.-- One race that has been in the spotlight this election because of the WASL test is Superintendent of Public Instruction.
On election night challenger Randy Dorn with 51% of the votes is leading current Superintendent Terry Bergeson who has 49% of the vote.
Here's what the former candidate Rich Semler of the Tri-Cities had to say.
"About the time he's getting sworn in, he has to be in the legislative court with his legislative language and agenda. So he's going to have to have to very quickly coalesce a lot of leaders to help him do that," said Rich Semler.
In June, Semler endorsed Randy Dorn, soon after dropping out of the race.
Semler says he's glad Dorn could soon be taking over the title of Superintendent of Public Instruction.
