AUBURN, Wash. (AP) - The Kent Fire Department says divers have found a car that was swept away in the Green River.
Capt. Kyle Ohashi says there's "not much hope" for two children, ages 2 and 14, who were in the car. He says a 16-year-old driver escaped.
Ohashi says the river is running fast because of heavy rain and there's zero visibility for the divers.
He says the driver reported losing control and driving into the river about 8:45 a.m. near the Auburn Golf Course.
It took searchers about two hours to find the car..
A Kent Fire Department spokesperson says a woman called just after 8:30 to report that her car went into the river with herself and her two children inside.
The woman escaped from the vehicle but her two children were still trapped in the car, Ohashi said.
