RICHLAND, Wash-- It's never too early to start thinking about college. Just ask the kids who were at WSU Tri-Cities making ice-cream.
It teaches kids' the importance--and fun--of science. The event is called 'Education is the Future,' and it was open to students of every age. But the event coordinator says it was just as much geared toward adults.
"One of the things we hope to accomplish is that parents realize the importance that the role that they have in getting their kids interested in college and getting them motivated to start doing well in school and start preparing themselves," says J.R. Gomez, the event coordinator.
The kids also toured the campus, had a scavenger hunt and won small prizes.
