YAKIMA--The top-ranked racquetball player in the world was in Yakima on Sunday.
Rocky Carson played in a racquetball tournament at the Yakima Athletic Club.
Pro racquetballers often play in tournaments in smaller towns to create interest in the sport. For many casual players, seeing one of the world's elite is a thrill.
"You'll get a lot of players that really enjoy having the top professionals here because they don't get to see it too often," Carson said. "It's always a treat to come to these smaller towns."
Carson competed against the top players from the area, and won the pro bracket.
He hopes to come back to Yakima to play in future tournaments.
