Final Exhibition Games For Cougar Basketball

Final exhibition game tonight for WSU men
PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - The Washington State men's basketball team
hold its final tune-up for the season tonight as it hosts
Lewis-Clark State College in an exhibition game.
The Cougars have two starters and five letterwinners returning
from last season's team, which tied the school record with 26 wins
and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
Washington State opens the regular season with a game at home
against Mississippi Valley State on Saturday.
Cougar women win final exhibition
PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Three freshmen scored in double figures
yesterday as the Washington State women's basketball team beat
Concordia (Ore.) 86-61 in their final exhibition game.
April Cook scored 21 points, Jazmine Perkins added 15 and Rosie
Tarnowski had 13.
The Cougars open the regular season on the road against Texas
Tech next Sunday.
