Body Found in Yakima River Believed to be a Homicide
The Union Gap Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred this morning in the 2100 block on Carey Ave.
It is believed that the victim was killed at the residence on Carey Ave. and then removed from the residence and dumped in the Yakima River. The body was later recovered from the river by the Yakima County Sheriff's department.
Union Gap detectives are working the homicide with the assistance of the Yakima Police and the Yakima County Sheriff's department.
The victim, an adult male, has yet to be identified.
Union Gap Detectives have a suspect in the homicide and are following active leads.
