RICHLAND, Wash. -- Turns out Eastern Washington is a hotbed for division one basball talent. Some big time names signing with some big time schools today.
Richland's Brett Jacobs put his name on the dotted line, becoming a Washington State Cougar. The Bomber shortstop was the state 4A Player of the Year last year, leading the league in average, home runs and RBI. Today's special moment was a long-time coming.
Jacobs says, "Since I was little, I've always gone to Cougar games, I just really wanted to go there. I thought it was a great fit for me. It was a dream of mine."
