AAA In Kennewick Is Collecting Toiletries For Victims Of Domestic Violence
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Leaders with AAA in the Tri-Cities want to help victims of domestic violence.
They are collecting toiletries like soap, shampoo, conditioner and toothpaste in the travel size or regular size.
The collection is called Soap for Hope. There are 27 AAA offices throughout Washington and each one is donating to a different group.
They said it is their way to give back to the community.
Leaders with AAA said a lot of people have little bottles they have collected from trips or visits to hotels.
Tri-Cities AAA Manager Penny Jager said, "I myself went through my bathroom cabinet and I was amazed at how many I've collected throughout the years just from hotel stays and things like that. We would appreciate anything that you could bring in."
You can bring any donations to the Tri-Cities AAA offices located at 6501 Grandridge Boulevard in Kennewick.
They'll be collecting them until the New Year. They are open 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Leaders ask that all donations are unopened.
Everything collected will go directly toward local victims of domestic violence.
