Police Arrest Man After Anonymous Tip

KENNEWICK, Wash--  Kennewick Police have arrested 29-year-old Alejandro Gonzalez after an anonymous tip came in to Crime Stoppers.

Gonzalez had a warrant out for his arrest on charges of felony kidnapping.  Kennewick Police tell KNDU there were also pending drug charges.

The tip lead police to a trailer park in Kennewick behind Furniture Row.  They showed up to follow through on the anonymous tip and found Gonzalez around 9:30 Sunday morning.  One officer says he may have been hiding for months, but he surrendered within minutes.

"It took 10-15 minutes for him to come out," says Officer Stan Howard of Kennewick Police.  "He didn't just come on out, but we didn't have to fight him, we didn't have to use any force on him.  I'm sure he looked out all the windows and saw police on every corner of his trailer."

Police say that's called a knock and announce.  Gonzalez is now being held in Benton County Jail.
