Holmgren sees Seahawks' playoff hope disappear

Posted: Updated:
SEATTLE (AP) - Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren says he'll be
talking with the players about their goals for the final six games
of the season.
He told KIRO Radio Monday that their approach down the stretch
is important for the players and the team.
He says, "I guarantee we'll finish hard and we'll see what it
brings us."
The 26-20 loss to Arizona brought Seattle a 2-8 record, five
games behind the 7-3 Cardinals.
Holmgren says he's proud of the team and fans for "hanging in
there" at Qwest Field.
The coach say cornerback Marcus Trufant suffered a concussion
but should be OK. Offensive lineman Mike Wahle (wall) reinjured a
shoulder. His status should be known later this week.
The Seahawks play Washington Sunday in Seattle.
