KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Tri-Cities Fever announce that FB/LB Carlton Baker has been assigned to the team by the af2 league office.  Baker is the second player from the 2008 roster to join the Fever for another season, playing in 4 games in 2008.  The other is WR Phil Goodman.

Baker, 6'1", 250 lbs recorded 16 tackles and one sack for 8 yards during his time with the Fever.  Coach Richard Davis was especially impressed with his first game played against the Peoria Pirates, stating, "I watched the game film and I saw a lot of potential in Carlton.  He's a defensive force on the field and I'm excited to have him on board for next season."

Baker played for the University of Memphis and was an all-conference selection.
