General Electric recalls more than 200,000 wall ovens
General Electric has recalled some 244,000 wall ovens sold under various brands.
Ovens under the labels GE, GE Profile, Monogram, and Kenmore are subject to the recall. The ovens can overheat during self-cleaning if the wall oven door has been removed and not replaced correctly. The ovens were sold between October 2002 and December 2004.
Owners of these ovens are asked to call GE for a free repair and not to use the self-cleaning feature if the oven door will not open to a flat position.
Free repairs can be requested by calling 1-888-569-1588.
