Plans for New Benton-Franklin Humane Society Building to be Released
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Organizers at the Benton-Franklin Humane Society are planning to announce details Wednesday about a fundraising campaign for a bigger "no kill" shelter.
They will also unveil the architectural design of the new facility and discuss ways the community can contribute to the project. The Humane Society has been in the same building on W. Gage Boulevard in Kennewick for the past ten years.
Organizers say they need more space to deal with the growing pet overpopulation problem in the Tri-Cities area.
