Dec 2nd - CWU Students to Perform Music for Brass Choir

The CWU Brass Choir will present its fall concert on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. in the CWU Music Building Concert Hall located at the corner of 14th and Adler in Ellensburg.

Featuring triumphant trumpets, heroic horns, and titanic trombones, the free concert will showcase musical styles ranging from the Golden Age of Brass Music (the Renaissance) to the present, including composers Giovanni Gabrieli, Antonio Vivaldi, Paul Hindemith, and Henry Cowell.

Of special interest will be original American band music from the Civil War and a surprising rendition of selected movements from Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Persons of disability may make arrangements for reasonable accommodation by calling (509) 963-1226 or (for hearing impaired) TDD (509) 963-2143.
