YAKIMA, Wash-- Two Yakima businesses are teaming-up to make sure every child gets a gift this Christmas. What's great about the giving tree is it's specific to each child. They write down what they'd like.
Then the rest is up to people who'd like to fulfill those wishes. Yakima business, Everything But The Dress, teamed-up with the Salvation Army to make these Christmas wishes come true. It's a simple process, you just go to their store. Then find a tag on the tree, there's the gift wish, gender and age of the child. You can take as many tags as you'd like.
The ladies at Everything But The Dress are happy to have the tree.
"We're excited, especially with these tough economic times. It's important to get a little kid a present under the tree," said Rochelle Rosales.
Once you've bought the present just bring it back in to put under the tree. They'll tape the tags to the toy and the Salvation Army gives the gifts to the children just in time for Christmas.
Everything But The Dress is located at 16 North 2nd street, Suite C. They'll be taking gifts until December 23 so you have plenty of time to head on down.
