Cougs Excited For Saturday's Apple Cup

Posted: Updated:
PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Cougars are hoping they can claw their way to a win in this Saturday's Apple Cup against winless Washington.

The Cougs are trying to make it 2 in a row after a 42-35 win last year. All time, the Huskies lead WSU 64 to 30 in Apple Cup wins.

Even though both teams have not played well this year, it is still the Apple Cup and players are excited.

Cougars Quarterback Kevin Lopina says, "It's the Apple Cup. It'll be the first time I've played in the Apple Cup so I don't want to upset the fans. I just want to go out and play well and execute and put points on the board."

Cougars Linebacker Greg Trent says, "I'm pretty excited. I want to make everything count and enjoy the moment."
