YAKIMA, Wash-- We've all heard of online shopping. In fact, some websites already have holiday bargains, meaning you might not have to wake up early and brave the cold temperatures this Friday. But do the same rules apply when buying a tree? In today's fast paced world, are you surprised the answer is yes?
It's called treesleigh.com. You can pick the species of tree, the desired height, the drop-off time, and just like that you have a new tree. The company will even water it and clean up the needles.
The service will set you back roughly $75. Admitedly, that's a higher price than picking your own. But the owner says the service isn't meant to compete with families that enjoy buying a tree.
"We don't compete against that type of experience," says Todd Miner. "I want people to have that experience. We are here for the people that don't have children or don't care for that experience or just want the convenience of having it done for them."
The company will even pick up your tree after the holidays if you want. This is the first year Miner is in Yakima. He says he started in Seattle and saw an increasing demand. He says it's tough to forecast sales this year, because it is a new location.
