Firefighters Investigating Vacant House Fire in Yakima

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash. - Firefighters say they do not know what started a house fire early Tuesday morning.

They are investigating the fire that started just after 12:30 A.M. in the 600 block of South Naches avenue.

The house was vacant and under renovation so it is not clear how it started.  Fire crews say the house had only bare studs inside and no one was inside.  There were no injuries.

Seventeen firefighters worked on putting out the fire and say damage is estimated at $15,000.
