Boys and Girls Club Opens New Music and Arts Center
KENNEWICK, Wash - A two thousand square foot music and arts center is now open at the Benton-Franklin Boys and Girls Club. More than 250 children take part in the music and arts program but the new facility will make room for an additional 50 kids. Starting in January the club will also offer singing, dancing, and drama classes. Organizers say the programs help kids tap into their talents.
"You really had to have an imagination when we first got here and to see what it has become is just extraordinary. The kids loved it. I wish you could've seen the look on the kids' faces when they got to see it".
Falk says the new facility will allow the club to move some of their louder programs to an isolated area.
