KENNEWICK, Wash - Kennewick police say the best and safest thing drivers can do when it gets foggy is slow down. They also say to keep your headlights on so other drivers can see you. State law says you have to have them on when visibility is one thousand feet or less. Officers say they see an increase in collisions and cars off the road on foggy mornings like Tuesday.
"People just don't always take into account that they can't see as far and they don't make the adjustment for the time, whether it's the time to get to somewhere or even the time and distance between the car in front of you".
