Firefighters Thank Local Jack in the Box Restaurants
YAKIMA, Wash - Two local Jack in the Box restaurants got some special recognition for helping feed firefighters.
The restaurants on Tieton Drive and 1st Street were each given a plaque for their donations. But even better, they were greeted in person by a number of firefighters who offered their thanks for the Goodwill.
The firefighters say these two restaurants have repeatedly donated sandwiches and other foods to not only the firefighters but also families that fell victim to a fire.
We spoke with the store manager and asked...what's better - a hamburger, or winning the award?
"Thats a tough one. Our hamburgers are hot and fresh, but I'd have to say the award comes out on top."
Flores says she just heard about the award yesterday.
She says she's more than happy to do her part in helping the firefighters, adding the firefighters do so much, it's just a small token of appreciation.
