Best Buy Shoppers Stand In Line 24 Hours before Store Opens
YAKIMA, Wash.- Black Friday sales don't start till tomorrow morning, but people are already standing in line. John Mayo is the first person in line. He got there around 7 o'clock and says he's been doing this for four years now.
"Come out here, set up my tent, go to Starbucks get some coffee, then usually eat at jack in the box," said Mayo.
And after that, these people just sit, talk and wait for stores to open.
"The rush, I like rubbing elbows, talking to people, its just fun," said Shelby Vanderpol.
And it saves them a lot of money. John says he's getting Christmas gifts for his four kids.
"It makes you to be able to afford things you wouldn't be able to," said Mayo.
And he says this year his eyes are set on a lap-top priced at less than $250 tomorrow. And he's not the only one excited about the deals.
"Wii games for 10 bucks. A 60 dollar game for 10 bucks is definitely worth it," said Vanderpol.
Even though these people are standing out here for the rest of the night, they're still planning on eating their thanksgiving dinner.
"My dad and my kids will come over here and we'll all eat out in the parking lot," said Mayo.
