YAKIMA, Wash-- The morning after Thanksgiving brings long lines and lots of holiday shopping. However, Friday night makes for the first sneak peak at holiday decorating.
Some homes are classic, others are ornate and the lights on one house I saw tonight would make Clark Griswold jealous.
Not every house on the block is decorated, but several people said give it a few days. They don't think the economy will stop people from putting up Christmas lights.
"I hope not, I think it's the total opposite. I think with everything going on right now I think people should get in the Christmas spirit," said Rodney Dauenhauer, Yakima homeowner.
Rodney has been working on his lights for a couple of weeks now, all for his grand kids. Some people even put up lights to show their team spirit.
The decorated houses are few and far between at this point, but Rodney hopes others will join in. It is only November 28th, of course.
