Heritage University Social Work Students Hold Coats Drive

Posted: Updated:

SUNNYSIDE--Some Heritage University students team up with Sunnyside Promise for a coat drive.  Students and community members pulled their giant wagon to the Columbia River Bank in Sunnyside, hoping to fill it up with coats.

They're collecting them for families in Sunnyside, Mabton, and other towns in the Lower Valley.

"Make sure that those needy families and everybody in the Lower Valley that needs coats has an opportunity to get a coat."

Heritage University's Social Work students will be collecting the coats all this week.  Then they'll give them away at St. Joseph's gym in Sunnyside from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. next Saturday.

They say anyone in need is welcome to come and get a coat.
