YAKIMA--KNDO told you about some Yakima volunteers earlier this week. Now a local store needs some helping hands.
The ReStore on W. Mead Ave. is primarily operated by volunteers, and a lot of the store's profits go to the Habitat for Humanity.
But, right now they're short on volunteers, so they might not be able to give as much.
"If we had a payroll of a lot of full-time paid employees we really couldn't make any money to turn over to Habitat for Humanity," ReStore owner Richard Kellenberger said.
Most of ReStore's volunteers are elderly and can't do some of the heavier labor. The owner says volunteers only have to work at least four hours a week.
