Man is Tased After Driving Drunk into a House

KENNEWICK, Wash-- A Kennewick man is tased after driving drunk into a house and resisting arrest last night. 

31 year-old Justin Kirk drove into his neighbor's yard, ran over a tree, and hit the side of the house. It happened on the corner of Arthur St. and Grand Rhonde Ave.

When police got to the house Kirk fought with officers. They tased him to get him into handcuffs. There were only minor damages to the house.

"We always see more DUI's during the holiday season. People are out celebrating which is fine, but make sure you have a plan for getting home. That's why the Kennewick Police offers the holiday ride program from now until New Years Day. We will give you a ride home no questions asked from a Kennewick location to a Kennewick location," said Sgt. Ken Lattin, Kennewick Police Department.

Kirk was taken to Benton County Jail and charged with assualting police officers, DUI, and hit and run.
