YAKIMA, Wash.-- We've been seeing some freezing fog recently, which decreases visibility, makes driving more dangerous, and can cause black ice.
Washington State Patrol Troopers recommend leaving plenty of room between you and the car in front of you, and slowing down. Troopers say one of the leading causes of accidents in the fog is when people drive too quickly for the condition.
They say always keep your headlights and fog lights on, but never turn on your brights. Super bright lights refract off the water droplets that make up fog and can make it harder to see.
