BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) - A Bremerton man has been arrested for investigation of stealing a Bellingham police car.
Police told the Bellingham Herald that 25-year-old Joshua Ray Willette was booked into Kitsap County Jail on Friday afternoon on a no-bail warrant charging him with first-degree theft and first-degree malicious mischief.
Willette was arrested at his home.
The police car was stolen about 11 p.m. on Nov. 30 while an officer was handling a possible fight nearby. It was found within the hour in Bellingham.
The car's interior was vandalized and two radio microphones were missing.
Police say Willette will be brought back to Bellingham on Monday to face the charges.
