PASCO, Wash-- As the holidays approach, one local group is doing what they can to give back. Members of the local chapter of the fraternity Women of the Moose threw on their aprons to cook-up some holiday cheer for teenage foster children. The group made a pancake breakfast. All proceeds will go toward buying the perfect gift for teenagers.
"We're doing gift cards from Wal-Mart, Target, or something of that sort for teenagers, which normally everybody collects toys," says Marjorie Lee. "Teenagers don't take toys. So we decided last year to do the gift cards, we wanted to do more this year."
Lee says she would've liked to see more people stop by for breakfast, but says the turnout was still good.
