SEATTLE (AP) - University of Washington officials haveintroduced Steve Sarkisian (sar-KEYS'-ee-an) as the new footballcoach, replacing Tyrone Willingham.
Sarkisian was introduced Monday by athletic director ScottWoodward and University of Washington president Mark Emmert whosays, "We think we got our guy."
It's a five-year deal worth $10 million, ranging from $1.75million the first year to $2.3 million in 2013. It also offersincentives for championships, bowl appearances and season ticketsales.
Sarkisian says he can't wait to "get this thing going" andcompete for championships.
